I'm not sure that there's much new with me. I'm settling into the swing of school again, and I have to say I love living where I attend class. I feel like I don't really dread homework (at least yet, it is only the second week of classes), probably because whether I am in my room or in the lounge I am around friends and people that I live with and majority or people are studying or doing homework. This was an odd realization to me, quite a change from when I was in high school and I felt like I was the only one ever doing homework or taking initiative to get something done or caring about my classes. Although, we do still make time for fun: volleyball games, football games, prime times, coffee dates, hanging out, etc. Speaking of football and volleyball, Whitworth did win both of those games this week!
I feel like I already may be getting a little tired of cafeteria food, and I never thought that would be something to phase me. I'm already looking forward to when my parents come for parent weekend, my sister promised me she'd make sure I recieve some of my favorite meals :)
Now that the first week has come and gone, other students are no longer strangers and everything that was so new and uncertain at first is revealing itself and becoming something we are adapting to. I find myself feeling even more comfortable, opening up more and being myself.
Yesterday my roommate Erin, her twin sister Emily, and Emily's roommate (whose name is also Emily) went over the the cafe together, had some snacks to share, and visited :) it was a blast, such a nice change from the daily routine we had somewhat formed and it was great to spend time together. I enjoyed it a lot.

P.S.. I have just been told that there has been a fire in our library and there are currently three firetrucks outside my window. Ironically, our orientation theme was "Fire Up"...I guess we just make things happen ;) okay but really, I hope there wasn't any damage done!
I plan to post some pictures of the campus and my building/room soon.
Take care :)
