It's been awhile since I have had the chance to write. Thanksgiving was wonderful. I didn't have a lot of homework to do, which I was very glad about! I focused on getting it done as soon as possible so that I could spend time with my family and friends worry free, and that was very nice! Coming back to school was good. It was exciting to see everyone. Everyone was happy to see each other. Coming back to our home away from home and being reunited with those we spend most of our time with was a nice feeling. The night I arrived back at school from Thanksgiving break, Erin and I decorated our room for Christmas! We have lights and stockings. We listened to Christmas music and had a grand ol' time =) I will do my best to post pictures.
That first week back to school (last week) was very easy and relaxing for me. I surprisingly did not have much to do and it was nice to have an easier week. I had the opportunity to simply hang out and have great conversations with people, getting to know some people better than I did before and I enjoy that very much. Also, I was expecting there to be a ton of snow when I got back to school, but so far, no snow! The little snow we had melted and it has yet to return. Although, it is still cold. I think it was 18 degrees today when I went to eat in the late morning. So anyways, not a lot happened that first week back besides hanging out and watching a couple of movies.
This last weekend Arend Hall put on an event called "Deck the Halls" for everyone on campus. The dorm is split into two sides, east and west. Each side chose a theme and then decorated and acted it out for people that came through on tours. It is a competition and one of the sdies is declared a winner at the end of the night. I was not a part of the acting because I had to go to something for a class at the beginning, but I helped with preparation. My side's (west side) theme was Home Alone, and east's side was A Charlie Brown Christmas. Unfortunately, east side won, but both sides were incredible! I went through my side twice, and I was amazed! I thought it was so well done and I am very impressed by our actor who played Kevin. Both sides did a great job, but they were very different.
This is my last full week of classes, in fact one week from today I will be back in Oregon with family. It may be a stressful week, but honestly I have it nowhere near as bad as some people. I'm very much looking forward to break and a new term.
