The weekend before this last weekend was one of the best weekends I’ve had here at Whitworth yet. I had very little homework, to the point I wasn’t quite sure what to do. Friday night I layed low and hung out, watched movies with girls on my hall. Saturday afternoon I went downtown with a couple of other girls in my dorm. That was very nice to get off of campus.
Saturday night I went to Scary Wood with about thirty other people from my dorm. Silverwood is a theme park that they change to be “scary” or “haunted” during the Halloween season, therefore renaming it Scarywood for the time being. They have some of the best roller coasters! One even went backwards, it was crazy! The park did a fantastic job with the transformation of the park. Being from Salem, I definitely underestimated the weather. It was in the low thirties before midnight and there was frost on the benches. I can honestly say it may have been the coldest I have ever been. But nonetheless, it was a great night and a lot of fun. It seems that the majority of the night we were all in one big huddle, keeping warm. Thank goodness for body heat! I felt it was a great bonding experience though. It was a very fun night. =)
