This last weekend was Parent Weekend. I long anticipated its arrival and finally late Friday night my parents arrived! We didn’t do much that night but Sarah stayed with me in my dorm. Sarah and I attended some dorm activities, stayed up late talking and may or may not have gone to bed at 5AM and gotten three hours of sleep…but it was worth it of course. My parents brought me yummy treats, homemade cookies and pumpkin pie =). Saturday we all went out to lunch at Olive Garden, and afterwards did some shopping. Then we all went to the Volleyball game that evening, which Whitworth won! We then went to a late dinner at Outback Steakhouse. It was lovely. I was sick this weekend, and it’s unfortunate that it happened to be the weekend my family was here but it was nice to see everyone and have everyone together peacefully. I can’t say how much that meant to me, blessings definitely came out of the weekend I couldn’t have imagined and I am so glad. It was easier saying goodbye knowing I would be in Salem and seeing everyone in just a few days, which I am very much looking forward to.
